Jelo terms of use

Version: 2026-10-20

Jelo is supplied by the provider identified in the legal notice, where you can consult their identity and address. Contact: soporte@jelo.live.

1. About Jelo

Jelo connects people to share interests, organise plans and participate in groups. The same person may host as an ambassador and join as an explorer. Organisers are responsible for describing and delivering their activities; this allocation does not remove Jelo's own obligations or users' statutory rights.

2. Account and age

Jelo is intended exclusively for people aged 18 or over. Provide accurate information, protect access and do not impersonate others. Do not share passwords. Report unauthorised access to support.

Professional accounts require application and approval before publishing new plans. You must be authorised to represent the business and provide presentation and contact details intended for its public profile. Approval is a Jelo editorial review, not legal, identity or professional-qualification certification. Changes require review and the last approved version may remain visible. Plan drafts are private; they do not reserve places or become public until the publishing flow and its checks are completed.

3. Plans, places and approval

Organisers must state the date, time, place, expected duration, price and relevant conditions and hold permits, insurance and qualifications required for the activity. Private and professional activities must be distinguished where applicable. Read the details and assess whether the activity suits you.

For approval-based plans, a request does not guarantee admission or charge you. Acceptance for a free plan confirms participation when capacity is available. Approval for a paid plan allows payment to start; confirmation follows the corresponding verification. Pending-payment bookings have a limited period shown in the flow.

4. Prices, payments and payouts

Plans may be free or paid. The applicable total price must be shown before confirmation. Payments are processed in Stripe's forms. Returning to Jelo does not by itself confirm payment: check the booking status and contact support if it remains pending.

Free plans have no booking fees. Under EXPLORER_MARGIN_V2, the published activity amount belongs in full to the organiser for confirmed, completed bookings eligible for settlement. The explorer pays that amount plus the Jelo service charge and applicable service taxes. The activity amount is not net income after the organiser's own taxes and expenses. The service base includes a target contribution of 10% of the activity amount and an allowance for variable payment-provider costs; it is not a fixed 10% gross commission and is not deducted from the organiser's amount. Default V2 settings allow activity amounts from EUR 0.01 and require an estimated payment total of at least EUR 1; the exact total depends on costs, taxes and rounding and is shown before payment. Estimated service VAT does not establish final tax: Checkout applies the configured treatment using transaction information. If a verified payment cannot result in booking confirmation, the full amount actually collected, including service and tax, is routed for refund; no additional payment is demanded after collection. Earlier bookings retain their saved version and breakdown, including V1 and legacy models. The organiser supplies the activity and bears their applicable obligations; Jelo supplies booking and intermediation. V2 payments require operational approval of the tax and cost models and valid Stripe configuration; a price estimate does not establish that paid bookings are enabled. Eligible earnings are calculated after plan completion. The default Europe/Madrid calendar closes the period on Monday at 04:00, publishes statements on Tuesday at 04:00 and allows transfer processing on Wednesday at 04:00, subject to activation, verification and availability. A Stripe transfer does not guarantee a bank-arrival date. Administrative exports support reconciliation but do not issue invoices or replace each supplier's tax or invoicing obligations.

To receive payouts, organisers must complete Stripe's onboarding and verification. Using Jelo does not remove their tax or invoicing obligations. Specific fee and payout information must be available before an economic commitment is made.

5. Cancellation, leaving and refunds

Before an open plan starts, participants may leave/cancel their booking. For a confirmed paid booking, the current flow requests a full refund of the booking amount. When an organiser cancels an open plan, participation is cancelled and refunds requested for confirmed paid bookings. Free bookings involve no charges or refunds.

Refund arrival depends on Stripe and the payment institution. A cancelled plan does not mean the money has already arrived: check the status and request review of errors or delays. A late payment that cannot result in participation is routed to the refund flow.

After the plan starts, normal editing, joining, leaving and cancellation options are closed. Incidents and complaints may still be reported to support; this functional limit does not remove statutory rights. App cancellation rules are distinct from a statutory withdrawal right. Certain date-specific leisure services may fall under a legal exception; it does not apply indiscriminately to all activities or services.

6. Content, reputation and community

You retain rights to your content and authorise storage and display as necessary to provide the Jelo features you request. Obtain required permissions for photos and third-party content. This is not a blanket permission to use photos in advertising campaigns outside the service.

The community guidelines apply. Levels and achievements reflect activity and ratings rules, not professional credentials or safety checks. Fake reviews, threats to obtain ratings and reputation manipulation are prohibited.

Eligible participants may rate after completion within the period displayed in the app. Written reviews are optional and limited to 500 Unicode characters. Completed or cancelled plans' chats remain available as history to authorised users, with no new messages.

7. Incidents and accounts

Send incidents, complaints and requests for review to soporte@jelo.live, identifying the plan or content without unnecessary sensitive attachments. Jelo is not an emergency service. You may request account deletion; uninstalling does not delete the account.

Proportionate measures may be taken for breaches or legal requests, with reasons communicated where appropriate. Complaints will receive human review. These terms do not limit mandatory consumer rights or impose jurisdiction depriving you of applicable legal protection.

Significant changes will be communicated before taking effect where appropriate, with renewed acceptance requested where necessary.

8. Contracting and consumer information

These terms are available in Spanish and English and can be saved or printed from your browser. Account creation and activity bookings are separate operations. Before sending a request or confirming payment, check the plan, organiser, total price, date and conditions; correct errors by returning to the previous screen. Keep the information and booking receipt.

When an organiser acts as a trader, their professional status and contact details, the activity supplier and the allocation of obligations with Jelo must be identified. A private activity does not become a professional service merely by using the app; consumer protection against that activity supplier depends on their status, without excluding Jelo’s own obligations.

Where a statutory withdrawal right applies, the general period is fourteen calendar days from conclusion of the service contract. Exercise it by sending an unequivocal statement to the relevant supplier; support can help you identify them. The exception for leisure services with a specific date or performance period applies only where legally relevant and disclosed before contracting. It does not remove remedies for breach or failure to deliver.

9. Withdrawal notice

If the right applies, you can send the activity supplier, copying support if needed: “I hereby withdraw from the contract for the following service: [activity and reference], ordered on [date]. Consumer name: [name]. Address: [address]. Date: [date].” A signature is only required for paper submissions. Do not include unnecessary identity documents or banking information. This form is optional; an unequivocal statement is sufficient.

10. Complaints and applicable law

Support receives complaints about Jelo and directs activity-related complaints to the relevant supplier. We will respond to consumer complaints as soon as possible and within one month at most. You may contact public consumer bodies or use applicable administrative or judicial remedies. We do not claim membership of an arbitration scheme without an agreement. Spanish law applies, subject to the consumer’s mandatory protections and applicable jurisdiction.
